One of the constant question that haunts many companies in last 4-5 years is regarding their presence on digital media, how to make it more effective and whats the amount of time and budget required to put things in right perspective. Generally to address these question people and organisation go to some digital marketing agency in a hope that may be they have the right solution or technique to help them fix these problems and find a right match for their problem. But what do you think about many of those digital marketing agencies? Are they effective enough to find a solution to your problem or do they really have a solution to your problem?
If a share my experience with these digital marketing agencies, many of which would claim to produce result and may charge you hefty fees to provide you the right solution. But having experienced these agencies, I can tell you , many a time it’s not just your website ranking that matters, or a fixed pattern of procedure that these companies follow would help you !!!…The first time I hired a digital marketing agency for my travel business, I was expecting some huge numbers and some concrete results, which unfortunately the company was not able to deliver. I fired the company and switched to another, and then another and every single time I was wondering why I am not able to get the result that these companies claimed while they signed a contract with me.
Very soon i decided to go into the dept, and learnt the basics of all these techniques and tool. Once I became aware of the trends, techniques and various tool and got to know how exactly they influence the presence of any company, I got to know that there is no fixed and the only way to take a company to another level. This awareness made me more aware and helped me in taking decisions wisely. Now I knew exactly what I wanted and got to know exactly where to put my expectations, so that I can reach my goal.
The insight which I got after months of research and working on many of the tool and seeing how exactly things were working for any startup Ecosystem. The take away would be that in this time of tough competition, companies need to be on edge. People need to come out of a bubble that all companies can grow by riding on digital marketing, and I think this is biggest blunder that a company can do. It’s more than a SEO or SMO or indexing or directory submission. As a matter of fact let me tell you, majority of people who visit some website which comes on the first page of google, may not even buy from that brand even though it is on Top unless they find a value in those brands. Its now always about your ranking, though it is very critical, but there are far more way to do things to have a positive ROI. I will be discussing and giving you further insight in my next blog !!!
